WAX – Their FIRST show in 14 years – at The Darkroom – Los Angeles, CA
October 5, 2009
The last time WAX was all in the same room was at Slims in San Francisco in 1995. Tonight WAX came back together for a warm up show at The Darkroom in Los Angeles. This show would take place right before they would all head off to Chicago to play at "Riot Fest".
With the exception of singer Joe Sib who is originally from San Jose, California, the rest of the band, Loomis, Soda and Dave are all originally from Chicago, so this is a really cool for them to have their first major show be in Chicago. They will be playing with Naked Raygun and Rights of the Accused at The Metro.
Recently they released 4 unreleased songs from back in 1995. These songs were originally going to be on 13 Unlucky Numbers, but at the last second we took them off. These songs are only available on limited vinyl 7-inch from Side One Dummy Records. All the proceeds from this 7-inch will go to UCP Wheels For Humanity. For information about UCP Wheels for Humanity, and the terrific work they do, please check out www.ucpwfh.org.
