Vans Warped Tour 15th anniversary celebration movie premiere

September 17, 2009

VANS Warped Tour MovieIn select movie theaters(464) across the nation, they got the chance to get warped for a one night event only. The Vans Warped Tour 15th Anniversary Celebration film premiered for the special one night only screening, and featured the exclusive performances of the September 6th celebration concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. The 120 minute film featured performances and interviews from The Aggrolites, Ice T, 3OH!3, All-American Rejects, Blink 182, NOFX, Katy Perry, Rise Against, Underoath, Decaydance All Stars, Ozomatli, Bad Religion, and Pennywise.

If you missed the Vans Warped Tour Celebration Party at Club Nokia last week, the film featured the entire thing, giving the sense to the viewer of what it was like to be there. The film features every performance from that night given out by each act. It also includes brief interviews from each performing act, all which concern what the Vans Warped Tour experience was like for each of them, and why it's an important and essential part of our music scene. The last performance of the film will no doubt be the most powerful and moving one of all, and will serve as a reminder to the viewer why Punk Rock became the most influential aspect of our lives. The performance features all of the performing acts of the night singing along with Pennywise to their song, "Bro Hymn".

At the end of the film when the credits begin to roll, founder of the Warped Tour, Kevin Lyman, speaks about his tour until the end of the credits. Lyman's interview is the most compelling and thought provoking speech of the film. Kevin Lyman speaks about his ideas for Warped Tour, and what he attempted to achieve in its production. Lyman makes remarkable points about what Punk Rock means to Warped Tour, and what the fans supporting the tour mean to Warped Tour. The film may cause you to fall in love with music all over again, and cause you to yearn for Summer 2010, so that we can all indulge in what was often referred to in the movie as, "Punk Rock Summer Camp", and reaffirm our support of one of the best tours to hit our lives, Warped Tour.
