People came dressed to impress. Some of the best costumes were the McDead worker, the Killer Klowns, and the 80's Barbie and Ken doll. Those were just a few among many other creative get ups. The elaborate costumes set the scene for an epic party!

Greg Looney of KSVG Savage Radio 89.7 (which by the way, should be finally kicking off here in Bakersfield between November 9th and the 15th) kept the drinks flowing all night for the large thirsty crowd of party goers.

Psychic Ritchie set up in the trees behind a black and red striped drape and did Tarot readings throughout the evening. It was a pleasure to have him there and it really added to the spooky atmosphere.

Of course what Halloween party would be complete without a man dressed as a woman. Cher Impersonator came out and put on a fun performance as he sang "Turn Back Time".

While the Goddamn Gallows were setting up, DJ Josex, all dressed up in his freaky clown costume, set it off and got people dancing with some Zef Side shit amongst other sic dance tunes.

Goddamn Gallows, hailing from the Mid West, have been around for about 10 years. These guys are no rookies. They tour often, have put out 5 cd's, and have done their time for sure. They recently toured with the mighty Reverend Horton Heat, gaining them exposure and a chance to reach a wider audience. They blew people's minds at Hootenanny last Summer and there is a serious buzz going around about this band. All for good reason. They have pulled from several genres of music and created a sound and style all their own. In a world full of bands that lack originality, these guys are a breath of fresh air and it shows with their growing popularity.

From the time they hit the stage every member in this band plays with ferocity and vigor. If you like the stage performances of bands such as Larry and His Flask, Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly, and Flat Foot 56, you are gonna love Goddamn Gallows.

Avery, the washboard/ accordion player is insane and in your face, a total mad man. He even jumps in and plays the drums at times.  The rest of the band is equally  as entertaining. Jayke on the mandolin jumps into the crowd playing with fans surrounding him. Joe plays the banjo as he screams into the crowd, Richo beats the fuck outta his drums like they owe him money, and Mikey and Fish take turns singing and backing each other up while flawlessly playing their instruments. All the intensity of each individual gets rolled into one clean running machine that delivers organized chaos in its purest form.

Due to a power outage, their set was cut short. However you didn't get the feeling that anyone felt short changed. They played 47 Crosses, Y'All Mutha Fukas Need Jesus, and Pass The Bottle just to name a few among many. While the set wasn't as long everyone would have liked, the powerful 45 minute set had this drunken crowd on cloud 9! The Goddamn Gallows are currently on tour.  They will be playing with Tiger Army and 45 Grave at the Fox Theatre in Pomona tonight. Check back to get the best coverage from that show as well. And if you get a chance to see The Goddamn Gallows, do it, you won't be sorry!
