The Adicts – at Bierkeller – Bristol, UK

The Bierkeller was probably the biggest of the venues and the first that the Adicts could get their backdrop up on the Stage. This crowd really look up for it, as Kid Stands on his drums the noise levels go up. When Monkey arrives with his pack of cards and sings “Joker” I get pushed around and end up almost on stage. Scruff gets to sing a song again this time it is “Youth”. Bad Girl has an arrangement of woman on stage dancing around with Pete and Monkey.

 

This is the most energetic show yet maybe because it is the last UK one. The band is tight and plays awesome, Monkey even shadow boxes around Shahen. Pete and Kid both have big grins on their faces, the crowd don’t stop dancing and jumping about.


The guys play well past the 11 o’clock curfew but nobody minds. Monkey is definitely the best front man around - changing costumes from his sparkly shirts to Elvis wigs, spraying crazy string, throwing confetti glitter around.

The Adicts are my favourite live band and it would be impossible for anyone not to go to one of their shows and not come away with a great feeling.
