Teenage Bottlerockets – at The Cobra Lounge – Chicago IL.
October 7, 2011
On Friday October 7th, fans came from long and far to catch "Danzig Legacy" featuring Danzig, Samhain, and Misfits experts with special guest Doyle. This was to be the closest thing to a Misfits reunion this side of the Midwest. Danzig, who is known to have a no-photo policy during his sets, demanded that the entire show be camera-free (instead of just his set). This was announced 20 minutes before the doors were set to open.
Here are the bands playing with Danzig that we didn't get to see, but still think you should check out::

There were many other options for the night, for instance All (with Scott and Dave) were headlining the Bottom Lounge with Down By Law, Chinese Telephones, and The Holy Mess. Scott was said to have walked out donning a Danzig get-up encouraging the audience to take pictures. And across town Helmet, Bitter Wigs, Admiral of Black, and Electric Hawk were rocking the Double Door.
We opted to catch Teenage Bottlerockets at Cobra Lounge, and they drew many local fans out. They were completely in their element and playing to many fans, who sang along to every word and swung around wildly in the pit. Teenage Bottlerockets played an excellent show, keeping the fans on the tips of their toes throughout the entire set. After the show, members of Teenage Bottlerockets greeted their fans, posing for pictures well into the night. The post show festivities continued at the nearby bar Exit until about 4 a.m. (Yes, LA, Chicago has bars open until 4 a.m.)
