AC / DC – at The Honda Center – Anaheim, CA – September 8, 2009

September 8, 2009

AC/DCEvery child should have their parents take them at the age of one to be weaned on to Rock & Roll this good. What a great show & a great set. The sound was Loud. Clear & had the balls of a million cannons bombarding Baghdad on a good day.

The intro was superb with animation of the band on a train then a huge old train crashed through from behind the equipment & we were off on a lesson to behold. They started with Runaway train from the new album Black Ice and they just kept rolling along. What I like about this band is the back bone solid as a rock Phil Rudd one of the best drummers in the world & Cliff Williams on bass, watching Malcolm Young on rhythm guitar is amazing how he just stands there & makes you want to move, but trying to keep up with his right leg movement is exhausting. Brian on vocals delivers with the voice only Brian could do stepping into Bon Scott's footsteps all those years ago. & his stage presence is incredible, just as it was in his former Band Geordie. I am not sure if most of the audience understood a word he said with his thick Geordie accent he is from Newcastle in the UK. But still Brian gets everyone rocking and we love it.

Angus schoolboy extraordinaire at his age plays that guitar so well, with every chord riveting you & menacing, where he gets his energy from is amazing. & Has the audience in the palm of his hand, He must have lost 12 lbs on stage tonight. What energy what a fucking band. It was great to hear some old songs like She’s got the jack. & Dirty deeds. Hells Bells was rocking & Brian’s amazing run & leap onto the rope to ring the bell was just brilliant, I was imagining him missing all together, I wonder if he had ever miss timed it & fell.
A whole lot of Rosie was accompanied by a fifty-foot blow up effigy of a desirable hooker taping her foot to the song, the breasts were huge on her & it was so cool how she straddled the train.
AC/DC
My legs are aching from trying to keep up with Angus and Malcolm’s rhythm. They played all the fave’s like Black in Black, Highway to Hell; She shook me all night Long. I enjoyed the way they mixed up new and old all the way through the set. Big jack stood out for me from the new album the guitar riffs are exquisite. Finishing the show with For those about to rock was a great ending to the show.

The only down side of the gig was the morons who get up & leave & go for a beer because they don’t know the song, that irritates me & baffles me, if they are that bored then they should fuck off home or give up their precious expensive seats to the real fans who are at the back or way up high rocking away. Unfortunately these people should be drowned at birth. Or should be at a Brittany Spears show instead. A slight mishap at birth may have altered their perception of what Rock & Roll really is. I blame it on the parents for being soft as shit. Because AC-DC are what hard rock & Punk rock & Rock & Roll is all about, and believe me The Pure Rocker Loves this band and tonight there were a lot of us there.

We Salute you AC-DC may you continue Rocking. Fantastic Gig
