Show Preview: Peter Murphy Celebrates 35 Years of Bauhaus – at The Fonda Theatre – Los Angeles, CA – July 26-27, 2013

In December of last year Peter Murphy stunned southern California fans when he performed an all Bauhaus set in Orange county of all places. Bauhaus had not performed in the area since summer 2006’ so many fans jumped on the opportunity to see Peter perform the classics for what was thought to be one last time. The show was a success and sold out instantly thus leaving many fans out in the cold thinking they’d never get the chance to hear or see those songs in a live setting ever again.

Not one to let down his legion of fans, Peter recently announced that he’ll be embarking on the Mr. Moonlight tour, a Summer tour that’ll see him and his band performing an all Bauhaus set in celebration of 35 years of Bauhaus music. The response to the Saturday May 27th show was SO STRONG that a second show was added for Friday May 26th.

For those not fortunate enough to catch Bauhaus during the 1998 or 2005/6 reunion tours (which were hugely successful) the upcoming Mr. Moonlight tour is an like an answered prayer and perhaps the closest thing to ever seeing them live again. Plus there isn’t a more ideal venue for these haunted hits to come alive than the Henry Fonda Theatre on glamorous Hollywood blvd, so expect nothing less than a packed venue!

The number of hits in the Bauhaus catalog easily matches the level of anticipation fans have for this special show and tour, so don’t get left out in the dark without tickets. For the hardcore fan there will be a limited number of VIP tickets released for this show that include a meet and greet with Peter, an autographed poster and t-shirt as well. These shows are going to special engagements so don’t miss out.
