Show Preview: Cockney Rejects and Youth Brigade at The El Rey Theater – Los Angeles, CA – February 18, 2013

You better mark your calendar for one of the most talked about tours that’s slated to hit Los Angeles very hard in February. It may be a month or so away, but the double dose of classic Punk rock on this bill is one for the ages and a show that will be talked about for eons. It’s better to prepare for these sorts of things way ahead of time, and with that said, brace yourselves as the Cockney Rejects and Youth Brigade tour will be the first not to miss tour of this year.

Los Angeles will get a hefty dose of old school Punk via British Oi innovators The Cockney Rejects and of course a taste of its own LA hardcore Punk via BYO brothers, Youth Brigade.

The Cockney Rejects formed over 30 years ago in London and have amassed a global fan base in the decades since performing on the UK touring circuit.

With their brand of Oi Punk they have influenced hundreds of bands over the years and have recently played the 2012 Punk Rock Bowling Festival in Las Vegas where the Big Wheel crew were fortunate enough to cover them alongside other Punk greats. Their hits have become anthems to many and fans who have eagerly awaited for years to see them in the flesh will soon get to sing along to “Oi Oi Oi!” “I’m Not a fool” “Forever Blowing Bubbles”, “Dead Generation,” “Police Car” and many more Cockney hits.

With a full set by Youth Brigade, fans will hear an arsenal of classics like “Sink with California”, “Fight To Unite”, “Violence”, “I hate my life”, “Did you wanna die” "Punk Rock Mom" and of course many other classics. Youth Brigade remain one of the most inspirational bands in the Punk scene; the group holds on to the philosophy that "youth" is not an age, but an attitude and every generation has the ability to change what they feel is wrong in the world.

Could you think of a better main support band on the bill? Not possible!
