Preview for: Sunset Strip Music Festival 2011 – on the Sunset Strip – West Hollywood, CA – August 18-20, 2011

Back for the 4th year in a row, the infamous Sunset Strip Music Festival is due to take place this August and is once again expected to draw thousands of music lovers with its diverse range of acts set to play both outdoor and indoor stages. This years honorees are none other than Hollywood’s most notorious rock band of the decadent 80‘s; Motley Crue!

Joining The Crue will be Bush, She Wants Revenge, Matt & Kim plus hip-hop stars Public Enemy.

The 3 day long, music celebration will start Thursday evening at The House of Blues where Motley Crue will be honored before an intimate crowd and presented a prestigious award from special guests still to be announced. If their toast is anything like Slash’s from last years, then it is definitely the star-studded event you’ll want to attend. One could expect a special performance from The Crue to follow. The clubs along the strip will also go off with a bang as they host bands all night. Friday will see many acts both local and established playing up and down the strip at every club as the weekend party gets underway. The show to catch that night will be Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of Doors fame over at the Whiskey A Go Go.



Saturday will see the SSMF in full bloom as thousands converge on the festival grounds beginning at San Vicente blvd extending to Doheny dr. Alongside the strip will be an assortment of bands playing on every stage around from morning till nightfall. The outdoor main stages will be headlined by Motley Crue, joined by Bush, Public Enemy, Matt & Kim, Escape The Fate, She Wants Revenge plus tons more! Expect a festive atmosphere like previous years as there will be alcohol and plenty of rock and roll available all day for your party needs! With plenty of food vendors, shade, restaurants and clubs within reach, the SSMF is the most comfortable festival around, for those of you going, Bigwheel will once again see you there!
