Harold Honey – Self Titled LP
May 10, 2011
This LP varies in music genres but in a totally good way. The first song is slow and sounds more like 90’s grunge rock, but then listen to the second song and you get a slow folk sound, similar to a Johnny Cash song.
As you keep listening to the rest of this album, you keep hearing the different genres, including some jazz, funk, and soul. The vocals are very deep, kind of dark and mysterious, also reminding me of Johnny Cash. You could tell on here some of the songs are pretty deep lyrically, getting you swept up in with the music. For the most part, this album is pretty slow, but it is definitely not boring,.
