Devil’s Brigade – Self Titled Album
August 26, 2010
Devil’s Brigade are led by Rancid’s Matt Freeman and play hard edged Punk mixed with Rockabilly and other Roots Rock. There’s some country influences here and maybe even a bit of Bluegrass, but none of these songs are mellow at all. Any Rancid fan could tell you that Freeman’s vocals are just about as gruff as they get.
Two of the songs- "Gentlemen of the Road" and "Bridge of Gold" feature guest appearances from Tim Armstrong. The lyrics all pretty much tell hard luck tales. It’s certain that the Devil’s Brigade will continue developing a strong following and there’s no questioning the musical competency of this band.
