Burning Condors – Welcome to the Players Club
June 30, 2011
The Burning Condors are one of the freshest acts emerging from the UK rock scene, and for good reason! This unique band doesn’t fit any particular genre and their newest ep, Welcome To The Players Club is proof enough that their brand of rock n’ roll is one they embrace whole heartedly.
It is apparent the members of Burning Condors love The Cramps, have an admiration for The White Stripes (garage rock in general), adore 60’s pop harmonies and bluesy guitar riffage to no end! Yes, this band pays homage, though they do it in a way that is too fresh for words, which leaves musical taste buds stimulated. Listeners get maximum rock and roll flavor of thee above in 11 minutes time; and my one and only complaint is that Welcome to the Players Club is over before you know it. The amount of soul contained within those 11 minutes is more than most new bands spill out through an entire album, and it is my recommendation to all rock n roll fans that you go out and get into the Burning Condors, you will dig this record!
Stand out tracks are… Last Train Home, Love on the Rocks, Polka Dot Girl, Riot in the Streets, which happen to be the entire disc!
