Awesome and the Ass Kickers – Demo

Straight out of Orlando Florida, Awesome and the Ass Kickers are a trio whose upbeat Punk beats meet the type of humor bands like NOFX bring to the table. Along with their demo "Shut Up!", came a letter of introduction notifying us that they once led a double life: Mariachi band by day, Lucha Libre fighters by night. As if that weren't intriguing enough, with a name like Awesome and the Ass Kickers, how could anyone possibly RESIST the temptation to listen to the band's sound?

Upon listening to the first song of the demo, a hilarious introduction notifies you that your music collection is about to become obsolete. The introduction of the band members then follows a chant made up of the words "Ass Kickers! Ass Kickers!" repeated over and over again. This first glimpse of the band gives you a clear impression of exactly what to expect out of the rest of the demo.

There is a quality to Awesome and the Ass Kickers that causes their Punk rock sound to sound like they could be from Orange County California. While not entirely the next Adolescents however, their humorous songs compensate for the lack of intricate music, and is more than enough to give essence to their music.
