Aires and Graces – What Happened to the Kids?

Unfortunately Oi! and street Punk seem to have become nearly extinct within the past decade, or that is to say good bands that play Oi! have been seemingly almost non existent since the late 1990's. However for some reason Aires and Graces clearly never got the notice as "What Happened to the Kids?" features some seriously first rate American Oi! music. With jingly guitars, a very confident sounding bassist, ballsy lyrics, and vocals with plenty of gravel in them, Aires and Graces prove that they are above gimmicks and trends.

The opening song, "The Truth Is Our Voice" starts off with some strong "woahs" and "ohs" and sets the tone for a great record. The title track is definitely the strongest song on this release and calls out freshcut skinheads who start shit with people to try to impress their friends and have no conscience of their roots. "Children of the Revolution/Better Dead Than Red" is the only song with generic lyrics on the record but it is also the fastest and perhaps most energetic tune on the record.

Aires and Graces have since released another E.P. and a split with the Broadsiders. All of these records promise to be stellar.
