Urban Decay is back in action

After a much needed year long hiatus, Los Angeles based Hardcore Punk band URBAN DECAY is back in the studio finishing songs for their upcoming 13 track full length CD to be released on one of Germany's finest Punk Labels, RAZORBLADE MUSIC. The band is rehearsing regularly again and is also booking shows as we type this.

In September 2009 URBAN DECAY self booked and completed a 13 City Date Tour of CHINA and upon their arrival back home they found themselves without a bassist and severely broke, computer less LoL and the 3 remaining members had family emergencies and legal battles to continue. With all this going on and in the middle of recording their first full length CD they quickly found it necessary to put the band on hiatus till further notice. Singer/Guitarist Lisa had this to say "At that time we realized we started this band to have fun and share a mutual love and respect for Punk rock and each other, we are a family and with each of us going through so much in our personal life's the decision was clear to take a break, help each other out any way we could and then get back on track when we could"...It has now taken over 1 year but the band remained in close contact and are ready for a full attack again.

Drummer Tony said "I've known Lisa since Junior High and when she sat us down to talk about everything we knew it was for the best, first and foremost we are friends/family and if we don't have each others backs through tough times, then we don't have anything". Lisa went on to say "Leaving the US to Tour China and coming back to so much personal chaos was well worth it...the scene is still young and the kids are dying for bands to go out there to play for them so if at the end of the day, all we ever do is having toured China, then I can say that we accomplished something amazing and beyond worth it-I dont regret our decision to take a break and hopefully our family of fans doesn't either"
