New all ages Punk venue in Orange County opens in Costa Mesa California

After the demise of the Clinic in Santa Ana and several other all ages venues across Orange County, the OC punk scene has been hurting for a new all ages venue to open. Finally the World Gallery in Costa Mesa is answering to the call and opening a new room behind the gallery specifically designed for holding shows. This venue will cater to the punk rock community and feature both old favorites and up and coming bands. The gallery's musical director, Jason Shaw has been involved in the Orange County punk scene since the early 80's when he worked at the Cuckoo's Nest and played in the band, Turmoil.

The venue will have a grand opening in December but before then there will be two shows to give the public a taste of what's to come. The first will be on October 4 with the Strangers headlining and receiving support from Thought Process, the Hellers and Hermosa Beach's Imposters. Then on November 15 the Imposters will return to open for local favorites Tipper's Gore along with COP, the Timebombs, Dogends, and the Neckties.
