Classic German Punk band the Spermbirds have announced that they are currently in the studio working on a new album, and planning a European tour for this summer.

There is a Beltones reunion rumored for this year's North Park Awesome Fest. The band should also be playing some additional shows in SoCal in September. Info on the Fest (which also includes shows by F.Y.P., Madison Bloodbath, and dozens of others) is here: www.myspace.com/npaf

Italian Ska rockers The Offenders are currently booking their summer tour to support new album Anthems from the Gutter out soon on Mad Butcher records.

Off With Their Heads are releasing their next album, "In Desolation", on June 8. It will be the band's first since signing to Epitaph records, and pre-order packages include goodies like logo beer koozies, limited edition t-shirts, and colored vinyl. More respect for the Midwest, as Punk's Undead offers a free sampler download. In addition to 28 tracks by some great bands, the download also comes with printable liner notes, and the website allows you to listen before you download. Hardcore fans, don't feel left out. Netherlands-based label Crucial Attack is also offering a free spring sampler download, featuring 22 new tracks from bands like Citizens Patrol, Cracks in the Wall, and Tenement Kids. Mad Caddies have announced the upcoming release of a greatest hits album, which will be titled "Consensual Selections"

The Adolescents have completed recording of "Fastest Kid Alive" and are looking at a July release date. The album will be 15 tracks, only two of which have been heard before. The band will be touring later this summer in support of the new album.

Record label Paper and Plastick have announced a "summer 7" series", planning to release ten 7" records this summer, which will feature colored vinyl, etched B-sides, and elaborate artwork. Kid Tested are set to re-issue Sloppy Seconds' debut album, "Destroyed", in celebration of it's 20th anniversary. The release will be a double LP (CD also available) available in 4 colors, and include 10 rare bonus tracks from live shows, demos, and rehearsals. Other new albums currently out include Torture the Artist's self-titled debut (ex members of Screeching Weasel and Squirtgun), and pop-punkers The Parasites' "Solitary"

The documentary Edge: Perspectives On Drug Free Culture has just been released onto DVD and it features prominent figures who have been involved in the Straight Edge scene, including members of Minor Threat, Youth Of Today, Earth Crisis and Have Heart.

Walter Schreifels of Gorilla Biscuits has a new solo album that combines eclectic influences and includes a mellowed out cover of Agnostic Front's "Society's Sucker."

U.X. Vileheads, who feature members of the Regulations have a new 7" out on Sorry State called "Catch 22."

A new double 12" set includes the entire discography of the mid/late 90's New Jersey Straight Edge band Floorpunch.

Punk Core Records, who over the years released records from bands like The Casualties and Cheap Sex, have announced
that they will no longer be putting out new releases, but will continue to run as a mail order service for Punk records.
