The View at The Lemon Tree Aberdeen, UK November 27, 2008
November 27, 2008

This notorious 4 piece band from Dundee (the band set up base to write their own material in a back room of The Bay view Pub where they got there name from. The band were later ejected from their base in The Bayview, following singer Kyle Falconer reportedly riding a scooter along the bar), they were 15 minutes late coming on stage, but that hadn’t stopped the sell-out crowd, chanting” the view the view the view are on fire.”
In the sweltering heat that was the Lemon Tree.
The lights went out and they walked on stage and said, "we are glad to be back in Scotland c,mon Aberdeen lets do this."
The views energy was apparent from the off, as they got the crowd clapping and bouncing to the 1st song Glass smash,.but selling 300,000 copies of your 1st album (hats off to the buskers) is not a bad thing, dressed in a casual shirt and scruffy jeans lead singer Kyle could have been one of the crowd watching.

They played quite a few old songs, which had the crowd bouncing and surfing, but when they played new ones the crowd was more reserved, one of notably interest was ‘One Off Pretender," about their time in an Aberdeen jail cell, when a couple of the band were arrested following the last show they did in Aberdeen.
