The Objex with The Black Mambas – at Sports and Spirits – Bakersfield, CA
September 23, 2011
Las Vegas natives, The Objex, kicked off the first of 3 California shows in one weekend in Bakersfield, Ca. The patrons at Sports and Spirits( a cozy little dive nestled away in the Southwest of town) had no idea what they were in for as the Black Mambas and The Objex loaded in. If you missed out on the festivities here are some pictures from that night.
The Black Mambas opened up the evening with an upbeat set. Their sound is a mixture of good old fashioned 50's Rock n Roll with Ramones inspired punk rock edge. The Black Mambas have just exploded onto the Los Angeles music scene and are getting quite a buzz.! They put on a hell of a show leaving some of the rednecks in the bar completely disoriented.

The Objex didn't take much time getting the crowd warmed up. Felony Melanie had the crowd's attention from the minute they started to play. Standing on tables and singing in faces. Her presence demanded attention and the crowd obliged like putty in her hands.
Their set included songs from their recently released album "Reservation for Debauchery" such as "Squeeze", "Getin' Back" and "Retribution".
The show was a blast The Objex and The Black Mambas blew minds as they blew through town. If you get a chance to catch either of these bands better jump on it. You won't be disappointed!
