The Briggs Preview – at The Troubadour in West Hollywood CA on July 10, 2010
June 15, 2010
The folks over at 106.7 KROQ present one of Los Angeles finest Punk Rock bands, The Briggs. This July is looking to be a rocking month with a number of shows from older and newer bands alike, If you don’t make it to the huge Punk Rock festival at the Fox Theatre in Pomona, then The Briggs at the Troubadour will be your next best bet at getting your Punk fix.
To those unfamiliar, The Briggs rock like the best UK bands from the 70’s intermixed with the flavor of 80’s Los Angeles, which equals great melody yet an abrasiveness that is well balanced and most importantly equals a great show well worth the price of admission. They are fronted by brothers Jason LaRocca and Joey LaRocca and are one of the finest song writing pairs in Punk rock today.

The Briggs are one of the busiest bands on the road as well. They are fresh off the release of their Sideonedummy release “Come All You Madmen” which has gained much critical accalim. If you’ve ever watched a Los Angeles Kings hockey game you’ve probably heard The Briggs biggest hit “This Is LA” played before the Kings take the ice and during half time through out the Kings Play off run at the Staples Center for the last 2 years.

Joined by The Briggs will be Reno Nevada’s very own Cobra Skulls, a band you need to watch out for, I have a feeling they will get even bigger in the next year or so. Also on the bill are Longway and Your Aresenal.
Come All You Madmen and rock to the sounds of the Briggs this July 10th in Los Angeles!
