Dejha Colantuono – Tea and Vodka
December 4, 2009
During a time when many people are losing faith in music, artists like Dejha Colantuono come along that restore hope. Her first album "Tea and Vodka", released this past summer on Mad Meow Music, demonstrates the originality and wisdom that Dejha has obtained through her hard work making a name for herself. The 11-tracked album has a variety of different styles, ranging from soulful ("Plus Minus Plus") to jazz ("Beginning to End") to soft rock and roll ("Color Blue"), with every song containing raw emotion that her voice expresses perfectly. Whether it be the dark, honest, and beautiful songs "Feel You’re Going Nowhere", "Waltz for Lucy", and "Miss Fortune", or the fast, energetic power tracks "Anxiety" and "Second Sight", Dejha pours her everything into "Tea and Vodka" through her stunning inventive voice, captivating guitar hooks, keyboard skills, or graceful piano playing.
