Danko Jones – Never Too Loud

June 1, 2010

Danko Jones reviewAfter years of much high success in Europe -including hand-picked support to the legendary Motorhead and performing at numerous festivals- garage rock band Danko Jones made the decision to appeal to North American audiences by recording Never Too Loud as well as touring extensively in the United States. Recorded on Bad Taste Records and produced by the Grammy award-winning Nick Raskulinecz (Stone Sour, Velvet Revolver, Rush), Never Too Loud underlines the band’s visceral and raucous sound and throws harmonious sensibilities in between. The album begins with their most popular track, "Code of the Road", which was made into a music video featuring comedian Jim Florentine and is being shown daily in various sports clubs and Harley Davidson locations across the U.S.; the single is also featured on the Saw VI soundtrack as well as EA’s racing game Need for Speed:Nitro.

The chart-topping record also includes infectious melodies such as "City Streets" and "Ravenous" and switches it up with the adrenaline-pumping "Let’s Get Undressed", Black Sabbath-inspired "Forest for the Trees" and the love song "Take Me Home"; Danko Jones has also graciously added three bonus tracks specially for the United States, "My Problems (Are Your Problems Now)", "Sugar High", and "R.I.P RFTC". With an impressive track record of touring (later in 2009 they opened for the Damned and earlier this year they toured alongside Guns N’ Roses), continuous hard work, and the eager and vigorous spirit that Danko Jones embodies through albums like Never Too Loud, they have the ability to rise and remain at the top of hard rock.
