Gone But Not Forgotten – Seattle Crew Demo 7 inch
December 6, 2009
Sometimes you can judge a book by its cover. It only takes one look at GBNF’s cover, with its art work that harks back to the weird late 1980’s trend of drawings of shadowy figures in Champion sweatshirts, to know that this record is going to be some fucking evil straight edge hardcore. Gone But Not Forgotten’s guitars roar like SSDecontrol with some seriously heavy breakdowns. The vocals are equally gnarly and sound angry as Hell. Pretty much everything about GBNF is in fact pretty abrasive and honestly it’s actually pretty great to get a break from the safer sound that most straight edge hardcore bands are playing now. Stand out tracks on this record include "The Way It Was" and "Your Change," which has a bit of an Alone In The Crowd feel in the guitars. Fans of angry straight edge hardcore watch out for this one.
